Each year Saving the Blue supports a number of sponsored research assistant positions.

Research Expedition

Join us for six nights of hands on research February 16-22nd 2025. As a research assistant, you will be a fully integrated member of our team. Be assured that you will be trained for every activity, so no previous experience is necessary. Requirements

The successful individual must be over 18 years of age. They must be able to swim and enjoy outdoor adventure, with a keen interest in sharks and marine life.

** Priority will be given to minority groups, youth, service members, and veterans and their families. **

included in our sponsorship

A return flight from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Andros, The Bahamas. Lodging, food, drink, all boating activities, lectures, and training for the six nights with us in The Bahamas is also included.

not included in our sponsorship

A Bahamian travel VISA (if applicable), transportation to Fort Lauderdale airport and accommodation and food as required while in Florida. Specialist equipment such as snorkeling items, or boat clothing. Insurance. Gratuity for accommodation and boating stuff.
